I Hate Small Children

[Listening to}: Blur - You're So Great

I really dislike small children. They're dirty, smelly, impossible to rationalize with, and just well, outright disgusting creatures all around.

On that note, yesterday I had to babysit my two neices, Hanna (4 yrs old) and Leah (1.5 yrs old). They're cute but that isn't nearly enough to offset the aforementioned reasons as to why I dislike small children. But anyways, they were tolerable, I guess. I'd even go so far as to say that I had a little bit of fun. ..a little bit.. Yah, yah, I love the little bastards and all that jazz, but the cold, hard truth of the matter is that they are reminders of my reasons for leaning towards not having kids later on in life. Word. I have little patience and I like my alone time. I'll probably end up donating much of my money as well as using it to travel around the world alone with Loius Vuitton luggage and an angry chihuahua named Killer. Besides, Angelina & Billy Bob were onto something, adopting a little boy from Cambodia. There are so many kids out there (who aren't little) and who need homes. How crappy would it be to grow up knowing that nobody wanted you? Note: Cider House Rules. THe part where the little boy in the orphanage watches his friend drive off w/ a family and says to Tobey Maguire, "Why doesn't anybody want me?" made me cry like a blubbering idiot. And I don't cry. I'll take you away, little boy...! This world's shot to hell as it is; it's almost cruel to bring more children into it.

But anyways, my neice, Hanna's got this obsession w/ brushing her teeth. I catch her brushing at least 3 times whenever she comes over...including yesterday. Eh, at least it's a productive addiction. You can't resist this cuteness. [End Gushy Moment]

Mom Update: Her surgery incisions developed a very bad infection, the worst case her surgeon had ever seen, which is probably a bad thing considering that she's considered among the best in the nation. They had to hospitalize her for a few days and stick her on the strongest antibiotics. Now all's well.

Cute Starbucks Guy Update: Boy jacked my order for the third time ever tonite. He's always so jittery and spacey...all at once. Christina worked w/ him in the past & said, "I think he may take drugs. But he's a virgin, though." Great, Christina, great. Anyways, he took so long that I used the opportunity to talk to him...and yah, I opened w/ the infamous line that Crystal & I conjured up for shits & giggles. Haha. Yah, I know what I said w/ regards to Jae but my hormones are still out of whack. Don't mean a thang ;) I got a free Caramel Macchiato out of the wait at least. Welps, I've gotta get up early for work w/ Dr. Burke. He's having me read his manuscript aloud to check the print w/ his page proofs. Exciting.
