[My Life's Current Background Music]: Your Mom. No, actually: The Gorrilaz - Clint Eastwood

I love Whole Foods. They have quite a nice selection of cute boys w/ tattoos, piercings, and who look like they think deep thoughts. P-fff! I know, I know. Anyways, I've been stockpiling a rather eclectic assortment of delicious yet nutritious (minus the delicious part) soy meats and dairy products: Soy pepperoni. Soy salami. Soy provolone. Soy butter & sour cream. Going militant vegan on yah? Hella naw. I will always love the flesh of animal, but I've decided to say goodbye to redmeats & dairy. Sorry, Moby.
One of the various cute tattooed/pierced cashiers abandoned his post to tell me that he noticed my yellow shelltoe Adidas from across the room and thought I'd be interested in attending the oldschool hip-hop apparel art show that he was helping to put on. There will be dj-ing, b-boying, and several old school kicks wrapped in meat packages on display...deli-style, he says. I dunno, man. It's art, I guess. P-fff! I know, I know. Then he gave me a 50% discount and smiled in his own little tattooed/pierced way. I guess I'll go. It's college student friendly, afterall: F-R-E-E.

So yah, I'm no longer a bum. Aside from the Social Justice curriculum stuff I'll be working on for the proposed minor, Dr. Burke also asked me to proofread his book manuscript. Getting paid on the hour + Slow reader Val = mad dough.
I feel a little guilty. Danny invited some of us kids from hs to his show slash record release party at Fitzgerald's the other night. I ran into him at Kinko's beforehand and he gave me a flyer, throwing in how honored he'd be if the girls and I would attend. It was his big break afterall, even if he and the other guys of Downfall decided to stay indie for time being. I told him I'd go. But yah, the girls and I skipped to play pool w/ the boys. Metal shows blow as far as we all were concerned, but I know. Good luck next time yah run into Danny, Val. :-/
Pink hair. I've always wanted it, so now I've got it...on a trial-run basis anyways. Crystal dyed the tips of her dreds fire-engine red. Bleach 'n Dye whim, I suppose. Crystal helped me bleach/dye the underparts of my hair, rendering the hot-pinkness virtually invisible when I wear it a certain way. My cousin Kenny's working on landing me another job at his law firm, yah see, and I don't think lawyers appreciate the virtue of pink hair in the ways that I do. I would have had it done at a salon, but u know how it goes. Bills, bills, bills. The cashier chick at the Hot Topic (where we purchashed our hair dye) said it best: "It's so damn expensive to be rebellious nowadays." Amen, sistah.
