"'Come to the edge,' he said.
They said, 'We are afraid.'
'Come to the edge,' he said.
They came.
He pushed them...
And they flew."

Just got in from Pete's place. Watched some of Chapelle Show, Season 2 w/ Raven & the boys. Pete stopped into town before heading up to Chicago for Jeremy's wedding. I hope the gang has fun up there. Take lots of pictures and drink lots of...punch...for me! Hahaha.

I've started several unfinished entries on this thing. I think I should finish them soon.

Suffice to say that it's been busy summer thus far. I'm still working some mornings at 24 Hour Fitness and getting back into my workout routine. I'm really rusty on the running stamina, but I'm sure I'll gain it all back in a few weeks. Paolo & me are going to be 'buffed' in no time. Got an interview for the new drive-thru Starbucks opening up in Kingwood. Woot! to that. Mama's gonna look waaay hot in a green smock. Renewed my unlimited rental pass as Blockbuster. Summer Viewing List Cross-Offs: Mothman Prophecies, Ray, Shaolin Soccer, Ocean's 12, Fight Club. Acquired new sources of listening pleasure--> Jason Mraz's Waiting for My Rocket to Come (Rav's graduation present. Paolo loves that album, fyi); Jet's Get Born (Paolo's graduation present); Beck's Special Edition Guero; Green Day's American Idiot; d/l-ed Edan's Beauty & the Beat. I'm now looking into Common's new one but am deterred by the production workings of a certain Kanye West. More investigation is in order. If Common's a no-go, it will either be C-Rayz, Blueprint, or that Jeru album I've been meaning to buy for a minute now.

On top of my health-conscious, cinematic, and musical schmorgasborg, there've been graduations, graduation parties, recitals, and SFC Discovery Weekend. Last but not least, there've been the neverending days w/ Mr. P. Everything's been awesome. Mr. P and my adventures with him are always awesome.

While I've thoroughly enjoyed my short yet long 2 week hiatus from school, I've come to realize that I've been shafting some important aspects of my life. Too much of anything, even awesome things, is...too much. I have to keep moving forward w/ my goals, and I have to keep my alone time w/ JC sacred. I've been neglecting those quiet times for reflection and direction on my path. I've also been putting off completion of my Senior Thesis and my Teaching Certification application. Paolo's incredibly awesome for being so understanding/supportive about my schedule overhaul. I really couldn't ask for more.

Here's a hit & run. I'll be back for more updates....

This is the longest hiatus I've taken from D-Land most recently, but I return to you a Mutha-effen Graduate. Hellllls Yah....

Recent activities have included: Gallavanting w/ Paolo & the peoples; hanging out w/ Hanna & Leah; Star Wars III; new music binges; SFC activities; Blockbuster nights; Mike's BBQ; shoe hunting; working out at 24 Hour Fitness...(and that's only the first week of summer). Buahaha!

Right now I'm bout to put in an application at Starbucks. I have an in, so hopefully it flies. Thanks, Michelle!
