[Background Noise]: Ms. Furtado's Folklore
"I'm not a One Trick Pony
I really feel nothing can hold me
I really feel no one can own me
Nobody can control me
Nobody can conform me
So slow down..."
--------------------------Had the whole place to myself. Usually would be overjoyed at the arrangement. But didn't want to be alone tonight. Packed up my stuff and drove for a fix. We didn't even talk about much anything at all. I just wanted to be near them. I'm glad to have them in my life. ...well, them and coffee.
--------------------------
Poets and philosophers like to contend that the human mind is more vast than any material reality because it can embrace the concept of 'forever.'
Well, I think that's bullshit. There needs to be serious restrictions placed on bullshit overarching philosophical maxims. Especially as they apply to man. We may embrace the concept of forever, but do we really know how to even begin applying meaning to it? There are so many variables spanning the gap between the 'now' and the 'always.'
Why do we even try to put a meaning on lockdown...or at least pretend that we have? Isn't that just plain arrogant? My friends, are you listening?
Mel, Ingrid, Jerm, what are we doing?
--------------------------
"I'm not a One Trick Pony
For you I will not dance
For you I will not prance
And where I was last
I'll never be at
Slow down..."
