 Houston's own: Dj Cee-Plus opening, BBC & Comp1 hosting
 Shout to the hardest working cat in Houston hip-hop. BBC [Bboy Craig] is one of those rare downass fools in the game. I was both proud and honored to see this guy MC the Q-Bert show. The gig was a testament to all that he gives to the Houston hip-hop community. From his endless promotions to the utmost faith he puts in each and every aspiring artist, he deserved this night. On a personal note, I thank him for helping to build Paolo's name out in the local scene, for the tireless practices, and for spur of the moment Bench slots. For a dood who kicks it w/ some of the biggest names out in underground hip-hop today (e.g. Slug, Mr. Lif), it's incredibly refreshing to come across someone so real. Man, he even sent a shoutout on the mic to Paolo and me at the show. ...How special...hahah.

Nay to Cal Berkeley! Hook 'em!
::FRIDAY::
"This isn't a Red State. This isn't a Blue State. This is a GREEN DAY STATE!" -Billy Joe Armstrong
This fan since Dookie had her socks rocked the hell off on Friday night. Thank you, mom & dad, for the birthday Green Day tix.
Paolo & I would have enjoyed them more thoroughly had security not been ASS tight and had pictures been allowed. *frowns*. I'll update in a bit w/ pix of the foamy Green Day hands we purchased. *smiles*. Nevertheless, Green Day was a fitting finale to Vaolo's summer show extravaganza. The pink drunken bunny, Billy Joe's onstage antics, the pyrotechnics (fire! fire! fire!), the cover songs....can you really ask for more? The answer is no. Actually, Paolo was a bit disappointed at relatively few songs performed off American Idiot in relation to the oldies but goodies. But no matter. He is generally wrong when it comes to most matters musical in nature. *snicker*
For serious, though, this is a generation new entire. Forget lighters in the air, peeps were waving their lighted cellphones. It was a sight to behold...one that I could share w/ you all if they had allowed cameras! *grumbles* Think about it - a packed out stadium, pitch black, lit only by a sea of cellphones? ...Wow is right.
